1.1. Slice partners with Travel Agents as a technology provider, enabling Travel Agents to offer their customers the option to pay for trips on a lay-by payment arrangement. Within this framework, no credit is extended to customers; instead, customers are required to remit advance payments prior to the commencement of their travel.
1.2. The lay-by payment structure ensures that customers only acquire an enforceable right to the Travel Product upon completion of all requisite payments. If a customer fails to make all payments on the agreed lay-by payment schedule, they forfeit all rights to the Travel Product, rendering them ineligible to proceed with their intended travel.
1.3. Slice undertakes the responsibility for processing customer payments and administrating the flow of payments to the Travel Provider. In assuming the risk of non-payment, Slice reserves the right to seek recourse from the Travel Provider, should a customer fail to complete all payments.
1.4 Slice is dedicated to maintaining a respectful and safe environment for both our customers and employees. We endeavour to solve any query to the best of our ability, however we reserve the right to refuse service, restrict access to our services, or terminate any service agreements in the event that our employees are subjected to abusive, threatening, or harassing behaviour. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, offensive or discriminatory language, intimidation, harassment (whether sexual or otherwise), and physical threats. By engaging with our services, you agree to treat our staff with respect and understand that failure to do so may result in the immediate suspension or termination of services.
2.1. Slice provides a lay-by payment arrangement for the customer’s procurement of Travel Related Products (the Service). This service is governed by the terms of the Slice Service Agreement.
2.2. The term 'layaway' is referred to as 'lay-by' in some jurisdictions. For the purpose of this agreement, the term 'layaway' and lay-by are used interchangeably.
2.3. Payment of the non-refundable deposit signifies your consent to be bound by the terms of the Slice Service Agreement.
